Modular Bionic interface (MBI™)

A prototype of our modular bionic interface (MBI) demonstrated high data rate transmission through skin (JNE paper):

A modular, high-bandwidth, bidirectional implantable device for neural interrogation

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/42314707/

Note: The MBI implant in development for human use is slim, hermetic, and adaptable to a range of microscale arrays including our N-Form (demonstrated in human, NHPs, and other species).

MBI implant:

-High data rate UWB system transmits recordings of ~300 individual neurons through the skin

-Closed-loop capable bi-directional communication for stimulation

-Dimensions: 50mm x 48mm x 5mm

-Inductive power coil not shown
